Did you make a good backup? Was the backup visible when you entered the root password to start the stage 2b install? Did you hear Cecil's voice clips telling you about the status of the restore? What version were you upgrading from?

Have you checked to see if the files are still in the /myth/tv directory and if the backup contains the information about them? Have you checked to make sure you haven't accidentally got some kind of group filter or parental control on and simply can't see them? Have you checked the "recorded" table directly to see if their still there? What does this show (run as root)?
Code:
mysql mythconverg -sBe "select count(*) from recorded"

The backup was there. I think it was R5C7? but I cant recall. The files were still in /myth/tv (but oddly the install wanted to put files in /mnt/tv) and yes i did change that. and new recordings show up in /myht/tv. And it's not a filter, all the new recordings show up. I actually just deleted all the old ones... i watched all that I wanted to watch. But the recording schedule would be nice to see again
