I'm having intermittent OTA HD recording problems. I have multiple HD tuners and I'd like to see if I can narrow it down to a specific tuner. My issue seams to arise when I have at least one other show recording and it defaults to one of the other HD tuners, I'd like to see if the problem is for the same tuner every time.

Can I just look at the mysql table using webmin and find the recording and have it tell me which tuner it is in the list?

Try looking at the priority # on the card in mythtv-setup. The card with the highest number wins...that mixed with the priority of your recordings list should tell you which card is recording. The highest priority card records the highest priority show, second highest priority card simultaneously records second highest priority show.

One thing I tried once to determine whether there were differences in quality of tuners was scheduling a recording on one channel and a manual recording of the same channel at the same time. You can see which tuner is recording which through mythweb. You would expect that if there's any difference in quality that it's probably the tuner because they're both on the same channel.

The logs for Mythbackend will tell you what you want to know.
In /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log you should have lines like this:
Code:
2007-03-07 09:14:20.896 Started recording: BreakFastTelevision: channel 1008 on cardid 11, sourceid 1

I'm not sure how the cardID's line up but if you start a test recording and compare what mythweb says with the backend log you should be able to work it out.
