I now have two tuner cards. One is analog (bt848 type) and one is a digital kworld ATSC-110. Due to some existing data from the ubuntu-to-knoppmyth migration, the kworld card was "Encoder 2". Then when I reinstalled the bt848, it somehow became "Encoder 4". Thus mythweb tells me:

Code:
Encoder 2 is local on shalmaneser and is not recording.
Encoder 4 is local on shalmaneser and is not recording.

Um, is there any easy way to change "Encoder 4" to "Encoder 1"? Why did mythtv decide to do it like this, anyway? Could it be that the setup program checks the current max tuner number and then increments for new cards, rather than checking for holes in the tuner list?

If that's the case, I could understand 3, but 4...?

Also, what button do I push on my streamzap remote (using default config) to change which tuner I'm watching?

Thanks!

I don't know about "easy", but you're not the first to run into this - See http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... lete+cards

In my case I believe it was due to my attempting to reconfigure my tuners improperly. There aren't any "holes in the tuner list", just tuners defined you can't see without looking in the database.

Somehow that thread didn't turn up in my search earlier. Thanks for pointing it out.
