mythfilldatabase is set to run at a random time. Is there any way I can manually schedule this to a time of my choice? Sometimes it runs while I am watching a recording and the playback stutters until mythfilldatabase completes.

This may be a simple option somewhere in the config, but I was unable to find it.

Go here:

Utilities / Setup -> Setup -> General -> Last Screen - Mythfilldatabase

Set the time you want it to connect using the "mythfilldatabase Execution Start" and "mythfilldatabase Execution Stop".

I have mine set at 22 and 24 respectively. This makes MythTV update/fill the database between 10pm (22) and 12pm (24). The time corresponds to Military Time where 1pm is 13pm and so on.

*Now that I look at it I should change it to update later as I watch TV at 10pm.

Please give it as big a window as possible. There was a problem a while back with everyone and their brother hitting the zap2it servers at the same time and hammering them into dust. This resulted in the current "let the listing provider suggest the next time" mechanism. Also consider times other than "overnight".
