I sometimes record two programs, one after the other on the same channel.

For whatever reason, often the first program doesn't finish at the time that my Myth box expects it to (normally only be 30 secs). Thus, the end of one program ends up at the beginning of the next recording.

I've seen some instructions on how to join recordings - but I was wondering if there was a "neater" way, particularly when all I want is to get the the first minute or so.

So is there a nice solution to this scenario currently until this new solution is up and running?

Daniel

Those continual drifts or deliberately sloppy breaks are meant to keep you glued to their program.

The easiest way I have found and I believe most people will attest to, is to install multiple capture cards and provide a couple of minutes of overlap on either end of each recording.

This of course means more hardware, read more $$$ but it is the easiest way to catch all of the program you might be missing.

FWIW, I run 4 capture options, mostly 3 take care of the slop over but occasionally I need the 4th one for those Sweeps nights or Season Openers.
Seems to keep the wife happy.
but we are also Satellite only so ymmv.

Regards.
Andy

I agree the more tuners the better. I have 4 usb tuners, and just setup my schedules to record an extra 10-15 minutes.

DigitalNow is currently selling their tinyUSB2 tuners for $99. I have 2 of these and they work perfectly right out of the box.
