There are probably also a few who died trying to get it to work. Martian
That will be a problem.
I'm a software engineer, but I just don't know enough about linux etc. yet. I went ahead and ordered a StreamZap from amazon, and the rest of the parts from newegg. I ordered my HomeRun last week, so hopefully I'll have everything to play with this weekend.
I've been reading your threads Martian, they'll be a big help to me this weekend as this is my first Myth HTPC build. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge!

That should be easy. KnoppMyth knows about Streamzap in the install. And if you get the Harmony 880, it knows about Myth, and it'll ask you to beam it a few codes from your remote. From that, it knows you've got a Streamzap, and it happily emulates it from that point.

Interesting, very interesting. Now I want one more thing that I can't afford...

Alright, almost everything I ordered will be here today (the HomeRunHD will be here Monday).
Any tips or recommendations for a first time build? Configurations, installation order, things not needed, etc...
I downloaded the latest knoppmyth and will start setting it up tonight after I build the pc.

Best advice I can give is to read this thread in it's entirety before you begin:
http://www.mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13108
Should save you a lot of time and headaches. Only other advice is go slow and keep the Knoppmyth forums nearby.
Best of luck to you!

I like to DL and install the latest BIOS for the MB. That way I know I'm updated.

Yeah, I'll probably be posting here a lot the next few days.
Good idea on updating the MB bios! I probably would have forgotten. [/quote]

Hmmm, link works for me. Oh well, go to the "Tips and Tricks" section and read the "R5E50 Upgrade hints and hazards" thread. It's a sticky.

Maybe it's because I'm on a work computer...I'll try it at home. I'll read it when I get home.

I think it has something to do with which URL you logged in with. It works if you try the link without including the www. part at the start.
