I posted this in the wrong place once before, so i'll try again in a new thread.

Not sure if ive got something wrong, but the new mepo-wide theme is black (text and forms) for many of the "configuration" and "popup" screens in mythfrontend.

For example if i "right arrow" on a recording in "watch recordings" the popup menu is totally black. The buttons still work, and i can "delete" a recording as i have managed to memorise the keystrokes on the remote.

The same thing happens for ALL configuration screens, all "wizard" screens under "setup" have the same black screen.

Also, the "loading/cashing images" progressbar is totally black when changing to the mepo theme...

Ive upgraded to R5F1, but it did the same thing with R5E50.

Any clues on what settings to change this (have i stuffed a setting somewhere)? It is a nice looking theme, but i cant use beyond the main mythtv screens.

You have OpenGL menus enabled?

I tried both OpenGL and Qt (in the "appearance" page i think it is).
Both i believe i have tried, and then rebooted (it says something about restart). I will do it again tonight to make sure.

Is there somewhere else to enable OpenGL menus?

I'm afraid I've not got an answer for you but I seem to be experiencing something of a similar problem... I'm using the retro theme and when exiting some activities, (most notably live TV or a recording) the screen stays blue, until I press a button (up, down,back etc).

If you have opengl on the default blue them will fade from screen to screen.

Nah, it's not that... the screen goes blue and unless I do something else - press a direction on the remote or on the keyboard it'll stay like that almost indefinitely. Occasionally, I get half a screen. Oh and I'm using Retro as my theme of choice. I used the black one too. It did that on it as well.

They could possibly be related, although i dont have a problem switching between screens, only the wizard-config screens and popup menus are all black.

If i go back into appearance, the screen is black, but the up-down arrows work, and i can find my way (courtesy of the dashed button outline) to the theme dropdown list, and can change back to blootube-wide (or another one that works fine). When im scrolling through the theme dropdown list, the theme thumbnail image changes. All this indicates that the screens are working, just the background and text colours are black, rendering it unreadable...

Hmmmmm, i still leave mepo theme on, as it is very nice, but whenever i need to configure something, i switch back to an older theme..

Maybe my issue is heat related. I'll reseat the cooler on the graphics card. That may improve things.
