Running R5E50 on a FE/BE system with 3 PVR's 1 HD-3000 card.
Works great.

I've defined channels to allow recording from webcams and security camera's under "motion". But devices are associated with those so I have a "capture card" defined.

However I'm not sure how to go about "recording" the video I can get from .asx streams. I can wget a the .asx file into myth/video and play them just fine. My wife and daughter are big into horse showing and more and more of the shows are being streamed live. I would like to be able to have a "channel" that I could program to record just like I do for the PVR's.
I know I can use vlc to stream to a file to save it but I would like to have recording be as effortless as a manual recording job for regular TV is now.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Check out the Freebox tuner option under MythTV, and this thread:
