There is only one outstanding major issue and that is the 350's tv out. It doesn't work. Hopfully I'll have it resolved this evening. It occupied most of my weekend. Once this is done, the testers will get it. This round will take a little longer due to the changes I'm making. I should hopefully know by late Wednesday how we stand for a Friday release.

First off, as usual the entire KM community deeply appreciates all the hours you and others spend to make KM the stellar product that it is today. Secondly, don't feel rushed, most of us have 10-12 days of guide data and would rather wait a little longer for a release that is up to your usual high standards.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

Thanks for the update and all the work you and the rest of the team put into Knoppmyth.

Just checked the status of my backend, looks like the guide data is still coming in.

Last mythfilldatabase run started on 2007-09-05 05:49 and ended on 2007-09-05 05:49. Successful.
There's guide data until 2007-09-17 22:00 (12 days).
DataDirect Status: Your subscription expires on 11/19/07 20:53:20
:D

I agree with graysky, It is worth the wait.

Thanks for working on 350 support. We all know that it's a weird little card, but it works so well in my single-pci-slot slim media center. honestly, a single card like this can transform an old pc into a dvr powerhouse.

As soon as this new version comes out, I'm sure we'll see a flurry of SD memberships, I'll be one of them!

Might I suggest folks get thier SD membership now. It will be one less thing to do once the release is out. Besides, we don't want to DDOS them will all the KnoppMyth folks getting memberships. ;)

The problem with signing up now is that alot of people are waiting on the new release, so buying now means that your 3 months of service starts now, rather than the day the new release comes out.

You get a seven day trail. You can sign up now and buy later. Just a suggestion...

There is a trial period so you won't have to actually pay for the service for a few days (I think it is a week). I unfortunately signed up and didn't realize there was a trial, so it expired yesterday and I didn't even use it. Oh well, I will pay for it when cecil releases the new version. But from the sound of it if you haven't you might as well do it now :).

Nope...further east in Canada too.

Tip o' the hat to Cecil. I have been a die hard KM user since 2005. NO issues with installs and support in several releases. Would Bill Gates prepare personal replies to user messages for WinMCE from his lair in the centre of the earth? Not likely.

Well, Cecil does. I'll be a loyal user for a while to come and plenty patient for the release of R5Fx.

Keep up the good work. Much appreciated.

Squiffy

R5E50 can be upgraded in less than 2 hours and the important thing right now is to make sure that SD becomes viable. Look at the current panic WITH an alternative on the horizon, if SD doesn't workout then what do you do. SD is an open source project with real bills and expenses created to support us. Let's show some support and make this work for the long haul.

SD posted on 8/31 that they've already hit the "break-even" point and that they are financially viable. this means they should be around for a while! woo-hoo! and it even sounds likely that they're price will go down for 2008.

everyone -- go and pay already! then all of our prices will go down. geez... is 7 days really worth that much to you?

another huge ups for cecil and the development team!!! so many awesome people here. thanks for your time! i'm up and running!

I don't know if this will help much or not, but I saw this in the MythTV timeline that may help with this issue.
