I opened losts of xml file (most of them in /usr/share/mythtv/) but I could not find the OSD text I want to change. I'm using Iulius. I looked into Iulius OSD but I found nothing in there.

I'm sure I'm not far but a little help would be very appreciated.

Is there a command to get this result? (I try grep "mytext" *.xml") but it never returns results.

Perhaps posting what it is you are looking to change...

The words are "Passer" and "Sauter en arrière". (The translation for "Rewind" "Fast forward" in French. )

They are not a good translation, that's why I want to change these words.

However this ignores the fact that the actual text may be coming from one of the translation files which you can find in the /usr/share/mythtv/mythweb/modules/_shared/lang directory, or even somewhere else.

When looking Live TV or Recordings, by pressing Fast forward key or rewind key of remote control.

Those aren't in any menu I'm aware of...

But where does the text come from? Is it in the database?

cecil you are right, I guess! I try tjc's command and I got no good results.

I set mythfrontend to English and it says "Skip Ahead" and "Skip Back"
I looked for these words but I got no more chances.

It is more than likely in the source. I'd suggest filing a bug report on svn.mythtv.org.
