Does anyone know if there is a way to delete (erase) videos in the Mythvideo portion of Mythtv?

Thanks.

Delete the file from /myth/video, then run the video manager.

The only way I am aware of is through Utilities / Setup -> Video Manager.

Thanks... I guess I should have said is there a way to delete a video from within the mythvideo menu? Or is there a way to add a custom menu item, remote button or something that you can use to delete the currently selected video.

Thanks again!

Anyone else have any idea's? I searched around the internet and I can not find anyway to do it. I would think it would not be that difficult.

Thanks!

I don't believe what you are currently seeking is possible. Have you tried the MythTV mailing list?

I have not yet. I will do that next. I did look around a bit at making a menu entry that would allow you to exec a command on the currently selected file. I do not know if its possible but I would think it would be.

I thought it was strange that there isn't a "Play Video" menu option in the Video Manager Context Menu.

When your in the video manager, there is an option there to delete the video, as stated by SlowToLearn earlier.

Does this not work?

That does work. I was looking more for an option inside of Mythvideo like what is in XBMC's My Videos section. You can press a key and it will bring up a menu to allow you to delete the currently selected video.

I see what you mean now. I like it the way it is and makes sense to me, as you can't accidentally delete something when you want to watch it.
