How can I tell if R5F27 is compatible with a non-KnoppMyth frontend?

I'm running Ubuntu and it wants to install 0.20-svn20070122-0.0ubuntu6.

Will this package work with R5F27? Will it try to update the database schema and break the backend?

I don't know, but the best thing to do is backup your backend, and then try it.

The frontend from the debian packages work with my knoppmyth R5F27 backend with no problems that I've noticed. I don't use this frontend extensively, just run it on my desktop now and then to view tv or schedule something. The debian packages appear to be 20.2 so I don't know about your specific ubuntu packages. But in general it works ok.
