Is there a site that has 3rd party themes for MythTV?

Or is there not much of a theming community?

AFAIK, the good ones make it onto:
http://mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Themes

I DL/d the MePo theme to run on R5D27. Cute! I loved it. And I liked how the filesize (GB) showed on the "watch recordings" screen. (I had a crashed recorder card, and it was helpful to spot the 0GB ones).

But the kids hated it. I'm back to BlooTubeLiteWide.
I think we all like the soothing blues of BlooTube, and that a MePo based on BlooTube would have made it.

I think MythTV needs a cute mascot, but MePo ain't it.

I've been toying with the idea of doing my own theme for a while now, but as I have NO time at the present to spare for such an undertaking (all I can manage is a quick post, let alone do any maintenance to my Mythbox) I've put the idea on hold.

It would be cool to have more themes I think (though I'd probably stick with Retro after trying them) . There are more available than the ones included as default, perhaps they can be added by the live patcher?

Perhaps a 'KnoppMyth Theme' needs developing which has a suitable mascot?

Hey tjc, what kinda mascot did you have in mind?

I know I spent last night tweaking the blootube wide theme (it looks good even in 4:3 SD oddly) Changed some fonts to be easier to read on my tv.

I am currently tweaking the Pear-odyTV (and here) Theme for SD. Almost complete. Should look pretty slick when completed.

cool. I'm trying to think up a way to implement a clock in a theme...I've got some ideas, just not sure what will work yet.

Got to look into the code to see how they did the video preview panel.

Well, since I haven't found one, I'm going to setup a site for user myth themes, so they don't have to be scattered across the web to find.

How will it be different from the MythWiki page thornsoft linked to?
Will it be for hosting themes?

Yep, hosting, among other things.

With .21 there is a date/time widget in the fronted.

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Fe ... #Menu_Mode

The current clock is a digital clock format, if you are talking about a clock more like the Apple clock widget never mind my comment.
